Protekt Makes the Best Hiking Sunscreen
Suzie Dundas, an avid hiker and biker, wrote an article for Insider that detailed the products that she uses on her expeditions. In order to have the best experience possible, it’s important to have the best gear out there, and this list covers everything from snacks, to waterproof shoes, to sunscreen - and sunscreen is where we come in.
Suzie emphasizes the fact that she takes skincare seriously because she’s on the paler side. (Note: whether you’re pale or not, skincare is always important!) She mentioned that, this year, she decided to use only eco friendly sunscreen.
She uses two brands, and Protekt is the one that comes first. In her bag, she keeps our reef safe, organic sunscreen stick. An interesting aspect to note is that she finds sunsticks more convenient to use than lotions when hiking alone, since they’re easier to maneuver when it comes to hard-to-reach spots.
Insider isn’t the only one who’s jumped on the eco friendly sunscreen train. It’s important that we take care of our earth, since it’s the only one we’ve got. And by using products that help instead of hinder it, we play our part in sustainability.
Head over to Insider to check out the rest of the hiking and biking gear on the list.
